Argus Entrusted with Shredding of Classified Encryptors:

October 18, 2006
After lengthy vendor reviews we are pleased to announce that the Argus Services Division was recently selected to shred Classified Government Encryptors. After reviewing numerous potential data destruction vendors Argus was selected to manage and destroy nearly 500 classified encryptors and their associated hard drives. Argus was selected because of its already proven security processes and sound business model.

It was a crisp fall day in DFW when the encryptors arrived via a secure transport along with the client who remained on-site to witness the receipt, asset verify and final destruction of the machines. Paul Kern, Manager of the Argus Technology Center (ATC) said “We were very pleased that after reviewing our security processes that we were chosen for such a sensitive job as this.”

The client utilized the proven processes that Argus already has in place to inventory equipment on-site, provide secure point to point transport and then re-verify the inventory after arrival at the ATC.

Allen Beach, President of the Argus Services Division said “All of these security processes are “ops normal” for Argus. Our clients can take advantage of whatever level of security they feel they need to protect their data.”

Argus is now in discussion with the client to shred their hard drives, blackberries and cell phones.
